The Division 2 Y8S3 Red Horizon Week 9 Manhunt adds three more tasks for Scout 9: kill three named or Elite Hyenas, kill five Black Tusk medics, and retake two control points from the Hyenas. None of them needs a special build or a hunt for a hidden target, and live events and control points cover most of the work. With the Climax mission less than four weeks away, here is how to clear each one quickly.
The hints for Scout 9 have to be cracked in order to reveal the tasks, so here they are already decoded.
Task 1: Kill three named or Elite Hyenas
Live events featuring the Hyenas are the easiest way to get this done. Any three named or Elite Hyenas count toward the task.
Two things improve your odds:
- Raise the in-game difficulty. Higher settings increase the chance of Elite Hyenas showing up.
- Run bounties, especially at higher difficulties, if you would rather target named Hyena enemies directly.
Task 2: Kill five Black Tusk medics
You do not need to go looking for medics specifically. I simply took part in live events that featured the Black Tusk faction, both at control points and in the daily activities that spawn randomly on the map. Medics turn up in those fights, and the task completes as soon as the fifth one drops.
Task 3: Retake two control points from the Hyenas
The control points can be in any district, and you can capture them at any difficulty. Harder difficulties pay out better rewards and more seasonal XP, so it is worth playing at the highest level you are comfortable with.
The capture runs in stages:
- Start the assault by rescuing the allies at the point.
- Clear the first wave of enemies.
- Survive and clear the second wave that arrives to stop you.
- Once the second wave is down, the control point is yours.
Repeat the process on a second Hyena-held point to finish the final task.
Doing it all in one run
The three tasks overlap well. Hyena control points and Hyena live events cover tasks 1 and 3 together, and Black Tusk events handle task 2. Playing on a higher difficulty also adds to the Elite Hyena chances and the seasonal XP from the captures.
