Marvel Tōkon Adds Jane Foster Thor, Venom, and Jubilee in Year 1 DLC

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls has revealed the next three fighters on its Year 1 DLC roadmap: Jane Foster as Thor, Venom, and Jubilee. Jane arrives this winter, Venom follows in spring, and Jubilee closes out the year in summer. They join Phoenix Cyclops, the first DLC character, who was announced a couple of months ago.
Release timing
Jane Foster Thor is scheduled for "winter 2027," which most likely points to January or February of next year. The reveal trailer, which debuted this weekend, contains no gameplay footage for her, so a more detailed character showcase will probably come as her launch approaches.
Venom is set for next spring and Jubilee for the summer. Venom's release also brings a new stage: Klyntar, the alien home world of the symbiotes. Phoenix Cyclops, the first DLC fighter, joins the game on November 2.
A different look for Venom and Jubilee
The trailer treats the two later characters differently from Jane. Venom and Jubilee are not shown in engine. Instead, they appear in the signature watercolor style of comic artist Peach Momoko, so their in-game models and moves remain unseen for now.
The roster's lesser-known picks
The Jane Foster pick fits a pattern in how the game builds its cast. Marvel Tōkon often opts for a lesser-known alternative to a character's most famous version:
- Black Panther is Shuri rather than T'Challa.
- Ghost Rider is Robbie Reyes rather than Johnny Blaze.
- Thor is now Jane Foster rather than the original Thor Odinson.
That approach gives the roster a different flavor than a lineup built on the most recognizable versions, and the Year 1 DLC continues it with the Mjölnir-wielding Jane. Venom and Jubilee, meanwhile, add a symbiote antihero and an X-Men member to the mix.
What to expect next
With Phoenix Cyclops arriving November 2, followed by Jane, Venom, and Jubilee across the next year, the DLC plan spreads one new fighter into roughly each season. Venom's Klyntar stage is the only new battleground confirmed so far. Moves, costumes, and any additional stages for the other characters have not been shown yet.
