Time to plan the pilgrimage to Cologne: tickets for gamescom 2025 are now on sale for both private and trade visitors. The show runs from August 20 to 24, and the organizers are warning of high demand for the public days from Thursday through Sunday, with limited tickets sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Alongside the familiar day and evening tickets, this year brings new Superfan bundles and, for the first time, a combo ticket covering both gamescom and the devcom developer conference.
The essentials for fans
Tickets are sold exclusively through the official shop at tickets.gamescom.global, there will be no box office on site, and the organizers explicitly warn against buying from unauthorized platforms or resellers, a recurring source of invalid tickets every year.
The core options mirror previous editions: the standard day ticket covers the full entertainment area including the cosplay village, retro and family area, indie area, cards and boards area, and event arena. A limited number of discounted evening tickets grant access from 4 p.m., and the family ticket covers up to five people with one or two adults and up to three kids aged 7 to 12. The Wildcard returns as well, letting private visitors into the entertainment area on trade visitor and media day (August 20) from 1 p.m.
The optional green ticket is back too, its proceeds go to the gamescom forest near Bayreuth as part of the gamescom goes green initiative.
The Superfan bundles
New this year are two bundles for hardcore attendees. The Superfan Bundle pairs a ticket to gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19 with a Wildcard for the following day. The Superfan Bundle Plus adds an overnight stay at the gamescom camp from Tuesday to Wednesday, bring your own tent.
Getting into Opening Night Live in person has become one of the hottest tickets in gaming, so bundling it with early show access is a smart package for anyone planning the full gamescom week. Both bundles are available only while supplies last.
Trade visitors: verify early
On the business side, trade visitors can buy single-day tickets or a three-day ticket covering the business area period from August 20 to 22, all including access to the gamescom biz B2B platform. The genuinely new option is the devcom and gamescom combo ticket: five days spanning the developer conference on Monday and Tuesday, including the keynote stage and the evening networking events, plus trade visitor access to gamescom from Wednesday to Friday.
One important catch: trade visitor purchases require verification, which can take up to 48 hours, so early registration is strongly recommended.
With the ticket shop open and the exhibitor registrations already at record levels, gamescom 2025 is shaping up nicely. Our advice: if you want a Saturday ticket or a Superfan bundle, do not sleep on it.
