Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Leaves Game Pass October 15, Plus Other Top Games

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the GOTY-winning turn-based RPG, leaves Xbox Game Pass on October 15, which gives subscribers just under two weeks to finish it or start it. Pacific Drive, A Plague Tale: Requiem and Donut County are also on this month's departure list.
Clair Obscur was one of the best games of 2025 and one of the strongest third-party releases ever to land on Game Pass on day one. Players have had more than a year to get through it, but anyone who still hasn't started is now on a deadline.
How long you need
Rushing the main story takes under 30 hours. A completionist run through the expanded content takes more than twice that, so the full experience is out of reach for most people in two weeks. Players who just want the main story have a realistic shot.
The game has been one of the few JRPG-inspired titles to reach a broader audience in recent years. Part of the appeal is its dodge and parry mechanics, which add active input to the usual turn-based loop. The ending also has a twist that rewards players who see the story through.
The rest of the departures
Clair Obscur isn't the only strong game on the way out. Three others stand out:
- Pacific Drive: a sci-fi survival crafting game in which you navigate a zone full of strange anomalies in a haunted station wagon.
- A Plague Tale: Requiem: a survival story set in late medieval Europe, which is overrun by disease-carrying rats.
- Donut County: a light-hearted puzzle game that takes only a few hours to finish and remains a standout among indie releases.
Pacific Drive and A Plague Tale: Requiem both suit the spooky season well, so the timing suits horror-leaning players. Donut County is short enough to fit in a single evening before it leaves.
If you want to keep any of these after October 15, Game Pass members can usually buy departing titles at a discount while they are still in the catalog. Check the store page for the current price before the date passes.
